BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE 19TH CENTURY CARVED CHINESE CINNABAR LACQUER BOWL. This is a beautiful 19th Century Chinese Cinnabar Lacquer Circular Bowl, i believe it to be Qing Dynasty, 19th century, , the curved sides of this wonderful bowl has been carved with the most beautiful layered and raised flowers and foliage, this is set against an intricately carved fret and diamond like ground, all this sits upon a low pedestal foot, the interior and base have been finished with a pale blue lacquer covering , 11 cm diameter, and 1.5 inches height, its is in lovely condition with just a little wear to the edge on the base and top edge over the years, the quality of the craftsmanship is superb, this would have once belonged to a very wealthy family and sat proud of place on there table, if this could talk i can just imagine what fascinating stories they could tell, it is so very tactile and once held has the most wonderful feel. This will add something very special to any collection, my photos dont do it justice. Lovely, as per above.
