This is a Fabulous Chinese Sterling Silver Gilded Box Mounted with a Round Disc of Natural Jade/Jadeite. This box measures 1 7/8 inches x 1 1/4 inch x 3/4 of an inch. It weighs 40 grams. It dates to the early 20th Century. It says “CHINA” on the bottom. It is sterling at least and sometimes these early items were made from 950 silver. The Jade/Jadeite measures 22 mm round.
