Exceptional Antique Chinese Wang Hing Silver Box. Exquisitely, beautiful Antique Chinese Silver Snuff Box. This cylindrical shaped box is adorned with embossed blossom, which have exceptional detail & definition. The entire outside, and the top of the lid is smothered in blossoms. This enchanting design, sits proud on a hand hammered background. It’s lid is original & a perfect fit, both parts are internally gilded. 1850’s / 1890’s. WH for Wang Hing & Co. (Hong Kong Circa 1854 – 1930). 3.9 cm’s diameter. 3 cm’s high. No dents, holes or splits. There are movement marks to the base. Both the lid & bottom open & close with ease. Chinese Export Silver Cigarette / Card Case – Antique Circa 1900. This fine antique Chinese Export Silver (CES) cigarette/card case has a plain rectangular form with rounded corners. The anterior cover is embellished with an embossed and chased decorated iconic Chinese dragon design amidst clouds, on a matte background, incoporating a shield shaped vacant cartouche. The posterior cover is ornamented with traditional embossed and chased plum blossom foliate and floral decoration, also on a matte background. The rounded sides of this antique silver card case are plain and unembellished. This silver cigarette/card case is fitted with a push fit catch, which when released reveals two hinged compartments. This antique case retains the original gilded interior. The hallmarks struck to the catch of this impressive case include. Makers mark: Zee Wo. This Chinese Export Silver case is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent presentation condition. The embossed and chased decoration is very sharp. Full hallmarks struck to the interior of the catch are all very clear, however we are unable to produce an image due to the difficult placement of these hallmarks. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this item.
