Old Chinese Mixed Metals Pewter & Bronze/Brass Crane Figure Box Marked. I think this box is pretty old. My friend thought possibly 19th century. I know nothing about Asian antiques or collectibles so please look at photos closely and you be the judge. Marked in 2 places with Chinese characters marks. The crane has two wings with broken tips as shown. Not sure if the eyes are glass or some kid of black stone. Pewter and either bronze or brass. I have no idea its intended use or what this once held. Base measures 4 7/8″ x 2 3/4″ and it stands 2 1/2 tall from base to top of crane’s head. Small dents on the base. Overall wear and scratches.
