This item is an unusual example of lacquerware. The background color is the usual red cinnabar but the overlay color is white. The contrasting colors make for a stunning box. The dimensions of this box are approximately 4.25″ × 4.25″ × 1.5 inches. The bottom of this box is marked with a faded MADE IN CHINA stamp. This box is in good condition, but does have one tiny bit of white lacquer missing from the side of the lid. This damage is pictured in the enclosed images.
