Early 20th Century Chinese Silver Dragon Card Case Marked. It is 3.2 inches (8.2 cm) long by 2.65 inches (6.8 cm) wide. It is 2.27 inches (5.77 cm) wide and 0.29 inch (0.7 cm) thick at the inner lip. This fine antique Chinese Export Silver (CES) box has a cylindrical form. The surface of the body is embellished with a fine and impressive embossed decorated iconic Chinese dragon design. This antique Chinese silver box is fitted with the original push fit cover ornamented with a further dragon design encircling a central vacant circular cartouche. This antique box retains the original gilded interior. The hallmarks struck to the underside of this fine box include. Maker’s mark :WH (Wang Hing). We are offering you today a wonderful Edward I Farmer of New York Sterling Silver wood lined box with carved and reticulated Chinese Jade plaques mounted to the lid. The two Jade panels are in beautiful shades of green and held in place by sterling silver mounts. The edges of the Sterling Silver Box are decorated with engraved patterns of. Leaves and the front and rear panels of the box have an engraved. The panels of the Box are slightly textured or frosted. The carved openwork white jade plaque is stunning, never seen another one alike. The box measures approx. 4 1/4″ across x 2 5/8″ deep x 2 1/2 tall to the jade. The jade itself measures a tiny bit over 2 1/4 across. Box weighs 296 grams so over 10 ounces. The box is in good condition for its age, no damage just needs a good cleaning. A stunning Chinese export silver gilt and enamel box. It is hallmarked to its base A”SILVER MADE IN CHINA. I would date it to c1940’s. It has been beautifully made having brightly coloured flowers and leaves to both its lid and sides. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. The inside has also been enamelled, the lid closes nice and tight. The enamel is free from chips cracks and repairs.
