Rectangular shaped box with beautiful fine detail raised repousse foliate decoration on the top & around the outside edges. Nicely fitting hinged lid on the top with good condition hinge. Acid tested to confirm that the box is made from. 800 grade solid silver. L ovely collectors item. 138mm x 92mm x 53mm. Excellent condition with no dings or dents. This wonderful silver covered box measure 3.5″ wide and 2″ tall. It been decorated with 2 rows of hard stone all the way around and some hard stone and terquise on the lid along with other details. It’s in excellent condition for its age with only some scratches and fractures on few of the stones. It dates to 1850’s or earlier.
