A hallmarked solid chinese silver matchbox holder by Wang Hing & Co. 6 x 4 x 2 cm. Wang Hing originated as a jade dealer in Canton and evolved to become the best known and most prolific maker of export silver during the late China Trade period. Towards the end of the 19th century Wang Hing forged connections with Western silver firms and exhibited silver at international exhibitions. The firm later expanded to Shanghai, and opened a flagship store in Hong Kong in 1920. Vintage Chinese Jade Enamel 3pc. Smoke set box matchbox ashtray reposse

Thank you for looking. Hard to find 3pc. Vintage Chinese jade, enamel repousse, cloisonne cigarette set. Cigarette tobacco box or casket with matching matchbox cover and ashtray. My best guess would be pre-1930s. All pieces have an impressed CHINA hallmark. Gorgeous green enamel and jade. Pieces are silver on copper. Condition is good for a set of this age and the way they were used. Wear commensurate with age. Note: small enamel chip on ashtray, hairline crack in jade upper corner cigarette box secured by frame, wear on bottom where you can see the copper under the silver. Box 3x 3x 1.5 Ashtray 3x 2.25 Matchbox 2.5 x 1.5. I believe the Cooperhead- Diamond Match Co. Box is from the 40’s. Please examine all pictures, read the description and measurements provided.
