1930’s Chinese Solid Silver (tested silver with acid silver test) Lobed Shaped Box with Repousse Dragon Marked. It is 1.8 inches (4.8 cm) tall by 3.8 inches (9.8 cm) wide. It is 177.1 gram. C1900 Antique Qing Period Chinese Lobed Peach Form Engraved Silver Box & Cover

C1900 ANTIQUE QING PERIOD CHINESE LOBED PEACH FORM ENGRAVED SILVER BOX & COVER. A fine quality antique Chinese solid silver lidded box, of lobed fruit form with applied leaves and curved stalk. The body of the box is cast with eight lobed panels, each with hand engraved and chased floral decoration, dating to the late 19th or early 20th Century. The base of the box is stamped with two Chinese characters. Cm or 2 1/4 inches. Weight: 53.3 grams, 1.71 ozt. In good antique condition, but with a tiny hole approx. 1mm to the side – please see gallery image 4, lower section, slightly towards the right. FINE QUALITY ANTIQUE CHINESE SILVER LOBED COVERED BOX W GILT WASH INTERIOR

99 with lots closing the evening of Monday, April 18th. This listing is for a wonderful Chinese covered silver box dating to the 19th century. The box is made in a lobed form with each section have a different design done in relief. There are designs of dragons, figures in landscapes, growing bamboo, and varying blossoming plants including lotus and prunus. The box comes with the original fitted cover with the interior of both sections being finished with a gilt wash. The box stands 3 inches tall, measures 3.75 inches across, and weighs 205 grams. Overall condition is very good with only light wear. In addition, all questions must be asked at least 12 hours prior to a lot closing. This allows us time to inspect the item and take additional photos if needed. Many of the items we sell are well over 100 years old. Inherently, these items will have some minor or light wear.
