The metal base has darkened with age and appears to be be silver. It measures about 5.25 in diameter and about the same in height. This is a very nice Antique Repoussed Silver Box from China. Please note there is a chop stamped on the bottom of the box (refer to Photo #12). Dates from the early part of the 1900’s. This Silver Box is in Good Condition and the lid fits very well. The box has not been polished and retains its original patina. Applying silver polish would drastically change the boxs appearance if you prefer a shinier / newer looking piece. Silver Box Dimensions: 1 3/4 inch in Diameter and 1 inch high.
