Of ovoid form, Chinese (People’s Republic of China) Export Gilt Silver Filigree & Enamel Pair of Quail Bird Boxes, each decorated with filigree feather imitation applied with grey, light brown & blue colors enamel. Eyes painted with black enamel with prolonged gilt silver beaks. Each serve as a box with hand chased dotted design to lower body. Crackling to the enamel surface to the back feathers of one of the birds (please explore last image). Marked: Hand Made PRC 925, maker’s hallmark #119 of 500. Length of 1st 3 1/2 & 2nd 3 7/8 in.
