Super rare and no monogram! The original patina was horrible, so we had to give this box a quick hand polish to show the detail of the Repoussé bamboo motif pattern. Further polishing may be required, you supply the elbow grease! The inside of the box is made of wood and had not been cleaned. The inside wood is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, warping, splinters, etc. Theres one little ding on the outside of the box show in the pictures. (The ding is on a bottom corner and hardly noticeable, but needed to be mentioned) The Box is in very good overall condition for its age. There are tiny micro scratches here and there, but nothing major! The lid works perfectly and close tight and flush! The item is on an “inch” scale that are in the pictures, the inch scale is 1″ inch by 1″ inch squared, so there’s no confusion on size! The box is approximately 1.75in X 3.25in X 4.25in weight is 273 grams. This old sterling box is in good preowned condition! It has been silver acid tested and passed just fine: All the dimensions are in the pictures! It could use a good cleaning and buffing. Buyers please pay for item within 48 hours of winning. The box features a large moth on the lid and has fitted compartments once housed cherish mementos of the deceased. The box has beautiful , intricate design everywhere around with carved flowers and more moths. It is hallmarked on the bottom with Chinese symbol and number 8.
