A rare and unusual Chinese export silver and mother of pearl box. It is unmarked but tests as high grade silver. I would date it to the mid 19th century c1850. It has been superbly designed with the lid and base being craved mother of pearl with the lid having a craved pink rose finial. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits cracks chips and repairs. It measures over 2.25 inches (6cms) long by 7/8th of an inch (2.3cms) wide by 0.75 inch (1.7cms) tall and weighs 31 grams. A very rare and interesting piece.
