The interior is made from sterling silver, with a very well made lid with elaborately engraved pattern. The top lid has an attached antique Chinese jade toggle. The jade toggle shows good quality carving depicting a crouching dog. The bottom of the box is marked sterling. The box is probably made in the early 20th century in the art deco period style.
